DCCC Duties

1. Develop and oversee the whole church ministry.

2. Prepare and deliver Sunday sermon with emphasize on but not limited to encouragement, evangelism, life issues, relevance to needs, and topical issues (ref. 2 Tim 4:1-5).

3. Provide shepherd style leadership to promote church unity and growth (ref. 1 Peter 5:1-4).

4. Provide strong pastoral care, demonstrating the love of Christ.

5. Develop plans for discipleship training with other pastoral staff.

6. Develop plans with other pastoral staff to recruit and train voluntary coworkers in all areas.

7. Have a vision of a balance of worship, teaching, fellowship, caring and evangelism/mission.

8. Perform other pastoral duties along with other pastoral staff and/or deacons, e.g., visitation and counseling, wedding, funeral, sacrament and baptism, etc.

9. Oversee and work with English, Youth and other ministry pastoral staff, and maintain good fellowship/communication with both Chinese and English congregation.

10. Help shape the vision for the future of the church along with other pastoral staff and deacons, and follow the vision.

11. Attend Deacons’ meeting on a monthly basis or as needed.

12. Review current church ministry at the end of the year with the deacons.
